Daphne Barak is a documentary-maker. Her documentaries air worldwide. "Our Son: Michael Jackson," "Tale of Two Sisters: Liza Minnelli," "Saving Amy," "Jackie Chang Showing Hong Kong" are some of the widely distributed ones. Over the past two decades, Daphne Barak exclusives numbered in the hundreds, some as documentaries. First four of the "ICONS in their own words" series documentaries released during California Docu Film Festival in 2016.

Documentaries are based on exclusive Daphne Barak Library that consist of more than 300 original content. First four of the ICONS series are Maestro at Home with Andrea Bocelli, The Kid from Detroit with Kid Rock, America's Son: JFK Jr with the Kennedy family members, and Citizen Shimon with Shimon Peres, former president of Israel.

Four parter docuseries is produced by CBS See It Now Studios, led by Susan Zirinsky. The project is built around Daphne Barak produced original material consisting of exclusive sit-dwon, one of a kind, speaking-for-the-first-time interviews. Ghislaine: Partner in Crime has 9 interviews conducted by Barak.

Ghislaine: Partner in Crime

Daphne Barak conducted an interview with Betty Maxwell in 1992 a year after her husband Robert Maxwell found dead in water. Ghislaine Maxwell joined the interview with her mother in New York.

Daphne and Ghislaine filmed in New York, sitting on a bench in the Central Park. That interview is the only interview available in the market as far as Ghislaine Maxwell is concerned.

Barak filmed exclusively, late 2021, in London and New York with eight members of Maxwell clan, friends and associates. Most of these interviews make up Ghislaine: Partner in Crime four parter docuseries.

The docuseries now airs on Paramount Plus since April 2022.

Our Son: Michael Jackson is one of the most famous Daphne Barak documentary. It was filmed during the 2004-2005 trials of the music legend. It featured exclusive sit-down interviews with the Jacksons. Joe and Katherine made their plea to the public opinion on behalf of their son.

Our Son: Michael Jackson aired exclusively on ABC 20/20 prime time show and 53 countries in the ensuing few days. What is remarkable about this exclusive is the fact that it was filmed, produced and distributed within 48 hours after Michael Jackson was indicted. It was produced by Daphne Barak and Elisabeth Murdoch.

Kid Rock is “The Kid From Detroit.” Sheryl Crow and Mitt Romney are also part of the documentary.

The Kid From Detroit is for God, Country and Family.

Sheril Crow makes the same point in “The Kid From Detroit.” She says that Kid is a good father.

Mitt Romney, long time politician, once a Republican presidential candidate, calls him Bobby, his real name and how genuine he is.

An ICONS in their own words documentary filmed with Andrea Bocelli and his family. It depicts an inspirational story of an Italian legend.

Maestro at Home is a happy man

Andrea Bocelli says in his documentary, Maestro at Home, that he is a lucky man and happiness is the main goal. Bocelli makes this comment when Daphne brings up the fact that his mother did not do abortion when doctors urged her. Bocelli lost his eyesight eventually when he was in his teens.

Last documentary filmed with Shimon Peres. It includes Robert DeNiro, Kathleen Turner, Dr. Henry Kissinger. From Bill Clinton to the Queen of England varying global names also make appearance. It is narrated by Shimon Peres himself, telling his life story in politics.

Citizen Shimon is history of modern Israel

It starts with David Ben-Gourion, one of the primary founders of the state of Israel and its first prime minister.  Peres as his right hand man as a young politician details the challenges they faced in creating the Jewish state.
